The City of Ramsey and the consulting firm of LHB, invite you to a work session with the Park and Recreation
Commission to discuss the Master Trail Plan. This project is an opportunity to participate in trail and open space planning
and improve your neighborhood for the future. Please plan on attending and sharing your ideas and visions as well as any
concerns you may have for trails and natural resource corridors in Ramsey.
Five public meetings will be held specifically to discuss trail issues in different geographic areas of the City throughout
this summer. However, you are invited to any of the meetings, which are held at differing times of the month in attempt to
insure you can make at least one meeting — even if it's not focusing on your neighborhood.
The work sessions will be informal, and written comments are also welcome. Each of the meetings will be held at
Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
With your input, we will develop the Master Trial Plan from the general elements listed below which are also Park
and Recreation objectives identified in Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan:
• Provide neighborhood parks within the urban areas, which are focal points of pride and identity for each
neighborhood in Ramsey.
• Provide accessibility to all Community Parks through safe, on -off road trail connections.
• Preserve continuous open space corridors that protect natural vegetation and water quality, provide wildlife
habitat and preserve the natural identity of Ramsey.
• Develop an effective and efficient system of parks and trails that meet the needs of Ramsey residents, both
urban and rural.
At each meeting, a brief presentation on the City's Trail System will be given, with a synopsis of the Master Trail
Plan process. Agendas and additional information will also be available at the meeting. In the event of inclement weather
or rescheduled meetings, check with City Hall to confirm meeting dates.
