ACE SOLID WASTE <br />BUSINESS OF THE YEAR! <br />The City of Ramsey's annual <br />Business Appreciation Day <br />was held on August 20, 2002 <br />at the Links golf course. The <br />event was well attended with <br />128 participants. A special <br />thanks to our numerous hole <br />sponsors who made it possible <br />for everyone in attendance to <br />receive a door prize. <br />The Links at Northfork staff <br />was extremely organized and <br />assisted in a successful golf <br />tournament and dinner cere- <br />mony. <br />LeTourneaus Supervalu catered the dinner <br />and provided great service and tasty food. <br />ACE Solid Waste was awarded the Business <br />of the Year plaque during the dinner cere- <br />mony. Any Schweizer, the owner, accepted <br />the award and stated how pleased they are <br />to be a Ramsey business. <br />The 1st quarterly business news- <br />letter is finally here! This newslet- <br />ter will be dedicated to the needs <br />and interests of the business com- <br />munity in the City of Ramsey. The <br />newsletter will provide updates on <br />proposed residential and commer- <br />cial developments in the City. In <br />certain issues, a business will be <br />spotlighted, this is a great way to <br />get your business name out to the <br />• <br />ACE Solid Waste con- <br />structed a 20,000 square <br />foot facility in the City in <br />the year 2000 and they <br />brought 80 new jobs. <br />ACE graciously donates <br />money each year to the <br />City of Ramsey, as well as <br />several other communi- <br />ties. The City typically <br />utilizes the money for <br />park improvements. ACE <br />participates in the City of <br />Ramsey's recycling day <br />twice a year and they contract with the City <br />to provide curbside recycling to each Ramsey <br />resident. <br />Andy Schweizer, owner of ACE Solid Waste <br />and Tom Gamec, Ramsey Mayor. <br />The City of Ramsey is pleased to recognize <br />ACE Solid Waste as the 2002 Business of the <br />Year.
