Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-112 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATION FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY'S <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that <br />accepts any donations or grants; and <br />WHEREAS, two-thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to <br />accept the donation formally; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been offered a cash donation from Connexus <br />Energy, a local organization, in the amount of $5,999.98; and <br />WHEREAS, the donation will be applied toward the Ramsey Police Department bicycle <br />patrol unit for the addition of two eBikes. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts a donation made by Connexus Energy in the <br />amount of $5,999.98. <br />2) That the donation shall be applied to the purchase of two eBikes for the Ramsey Police <br />Department bicycle patrol unit. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 12th day of May, 2026. <br />Mayor <br />
