<br />A RESOLUTION VACATING RIGHT-OF-WAY IN GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK
<br />RECITALS
<br />WHEREAS, Waste Connections of Minnesota, Inc., doing business as Ace Solid Waste, Inc. (the
<br />"Applicant") has requested the vacation of the Right -of -Way for Basalt Street Northwest, including public
<br />roadway, drainage, and utility easements, on the property legally described as:
<br />That part of Basalt Street NW, as created by the plat of GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK,
<br />Anoka County, Minnesota, more particularly described as follows:
<br />Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 1A, Block 1, ACE ADDITION, as recorded in
<br />Anoka County, Minnesota, also being the Southwest corner of Basalt Street NW, thence
<br />South 66 degrees 12 minutes 47 seconds East, assumed bearing along the North line of Lot
<br />1, Block 1, ACE ADDITION, 72.24 feet to the Southeast corner of Basalt Street NW and the
<br />East line of the West 266 feet of Lot 1, AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION NO. 30, as recorded in
<br />Anoka County, Minnesota; thence North 00 degrees 11 minutes 42 seconds West, along East
<br />line of Basalt Street NW and said East line of the West 266 feet of Lot 1, AUDITOR'S
<br />SUBDIVISION NO. 30, 147.16 feet to the South line of the North 250 feet of AUDITOR'S
<br />SUBDIVISION NO. 30, also being the South line of Lot 2, Block 2, GATEWAY NORTH
<br />INDUSTRIAL PARK; thence North 89 degrees 51 minutes 37 seconds West, along an
<br />extension to the east of said South line of Lot 2, Block 2, GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL
<br />PARK, 66.00 feet to the East line of Lot 1A, Block 1, ACE ADDITION, also being the West line
<br />of Basalt Street NW; thence South 00 degrees 11 minutes 42 seconds East, along said East
<br />line of Lot 1A, Block 1, ACE ADDITION and the West line of Basalt Street NW, 118.18 feet to
<br />the point of beginning and there terminating.
<br />(the "Subject Property"); and
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing, pursuant to Section 106-120 (Easement Vacation) of the Ramsey City
<br />Code and Section 12.6 of the City Charter, was held on May 12th, 2026, and that said public hearing was properly
<br />advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are available; and
<br />WHEREAS, the right-of-way will be replaced with dedicated drainage and utility easements with the
<br />recording of the plat known as Ace 2" a Addition; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Engineering Department has reviewed the request and has no objection to the
<br />right-of-way vacation; and
<br />WHEREAS; some utility companies have noted that they may have facilities partially located in the
<br />affected area.
<br />FINDINGS OF FACT
<br />1. That the right-of-way vacation will not violate the intent and purpose of the Comprehensive Plan.
<br />2. That the right-of-way vacation is necessary to accommodate the plat of Ace 2nd Addition.
