WWW.CI.RAMSEY.MN.US.JAN/FEB2003.VOLUMEI9.No. 1 <br /> <br />RAMSEY CITY RESIDENT ATTENTION <br />SOUGHT TO SERVE ON RAMSEY RESIDENTS <br />CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is currently seel(ing <br />eligible nominees to fill two vacancies on the City's <br />Charter Commission. Ramsey residents interested <br />in serving on this Commission are requested to submit <br />a letter of interest/application by 5:00 p.m., Monday, <br />January 12,2004, to Jo Thieling, City Clerk, 15153 <br />NowthenBoulevardNW, Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br />Letters of application should contain the applicant's <br />name, address, telephone number, work experience, <br />education and any experience in municipal affairs. <br />In addition, applicants should include a statement <br />listing their reasons for seel(ing appointment to the <br />Charter Commission. <br />The City will submit its list of eligible <br />nominees to the Chief Judge of the District Court <br />who will make the appointments to the Charter <br />Commission. Interested persons may also submit <br />their application directly to the Chief Judge who is <br />the Honorable Joseph Quinn and whose address is: <br />Anoka County Courthouse, 325 East Main Street, <br />Anoka, MN 55303. <br /> <br />CITY FEES <br /> <br />Please remember that there are <br />administrative fees that the City charges to cover <br />costs of providing services. Many of the fees are <br />related to construction activities, the sale of <br />intoxicating beverages, business licenses, zoning <br />applications, facility use and burning permits. Other <br />administrative fees that the City charges include dog <br />licenses, mailed agendas, City maps, notary services <br />and photocopies of City documents. Please call City <br />Hall at 763-427-1410 if you have any questions. <br /> <br /> <br />Please help us keep snow <br />away from fire hydrants <br /> <br />Snow piled or shoveled close to hydrants restricts operation <br />during a fire emergency. <br />After a snowfall the Public Worl(s Department is <br />responsible for clearing snow from City streets. Depending on <br />the amount and type of snow this could take several days. We are <br />requesting your help in keeping our fire hydrants accessible. Could <br />you please clear a four-foot circle around the hydrant near your <br />home to assure easy access for our Fire Department? <br />If you have any questions or comments please call John <br />Nelson, Ramsey Fire Department at 763-427-8254. Thank you <br />for your efforts! <br /> <br />TENTH ANNuAL <br />MAYORS' PRAYER BREAKFAST <br /> <br />The Tenth Annual Mayors' Prayer Breakfast for Andover, <br />Anoka, Ramsey Youth First is being hosted by Mayor Tom Gamec <br />and the City of Ramsey, Friday, March 19th, 2004 at 7:00 a.m. at <br />Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 14501 Nowthen Blvd. NW, Ramsey. <br />Tickets are $15.00/ea.
