IlaPPy City of Ramsey Happy Days Festival vra PHOTO CONTEST RULES 9 o f Ram e.y 1 You must be an AMATEUR photographer - photography has never contributed significantly to your income. 2. You must be a current Ramsey Resident 3. Submissions must have been taken in the City of Ramsey. If you have questions please call Heidi Nelson at 763 - 433 -9817. 4. You may enter one photo in each of the three categories. Age groups are 12 & under, 18 & under & 19 & up. • Furry and Feathered Friends: Capture a pose that will include wild animals, birds, etc. • Landscapes: Capture the natural beauty, colors or geologic interest of the City of Ramsey • Vintage: Pictures of Ramsey circa 1974. 5. Photographs must have been taken 2003/2004 for categories 1 & 2 and circa 1974 for category 3. 6. For all categories, print quality, composition, and exposure are important. Photos should be no larger than 8x10. Preference will not be given to larger photos. Color photocopies are not acceptable. 7. Label the back of each submission with your name, address, phone number, approximate date of photo, location of photo, and category you are entering. DO NOT write or use a rubber stamp directly on your photo. This could damage the photo. 8. A panel of independent judges will choose the winners. Prizes will be awarded to the first, and second place winners in each age group and category. 9. Please enclose this entry form with your submission. It must arrive at the City of Ramsey office by 4:30 pm on September 1, 2004. By entering the contest, you give permission to publish your submission in the newspaper, on the City web -site, to be displayed the day of the Happy Days Festival and the 1st place winner will have their pic- ture displayed in the Ramsey City Hall. 10. All photos may be picked up starting Wednesday, September 22 -30th, 8:30 - 4:30pm Monday- Friday. Any photos not picked up by the end of the day on Sept. 30th become the property of the City of Ramsey.
