The sprinkling ban will be in effect from Memorial day
until after Labor Day.
Residents may water on odd numbered days if their address ends in an odd
number, and on even numbered days if their address ends in an even number.
The sprinkling restriction includes no watering between 10:00 a.m. and
8:00 p.m. since a significant amount of water is lost due to evaporation during the
warmest portions of the day. Homeowners with automated systems are strongly
encouraged to program them to operate after 10:00 p.m. This minimizes evaporation
and lessens peak demand on the system.
In addition to the residential sprinkling ban, the City is in the process of
implementing an irrigation policy that is specific to townhouse, multifamily residential
and commercial connections to the municipal water supply that requires that:
All irrigation systems must install an approved backflow device
All irrigation systems must include a Rain Sensor device to prevent irrigation
systems from operating during rain events.
RAMSEY SENIOR CLUB
The Ramsey Senior Club met in May with 36 members attending. Darby
Nelson showed slides and talked about kayaking in Norway. The June meeting
consisted of the usual delicious pot luck lunch and music entertainment by Bert and
Glenn. The July 6th meeting will be the annual picnic at Central Park.
Every "senior" is welcome to join the club. Bring a dish to pass and 25
cents for coffee.
Submitted by:
Zola Malamen, President
Ramsey Resident
Ramsey Municipal Center
15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
PRSORT STD
U.S. POSTAGE PAID
ANOKA, MN
55303
PERMIT NO. 131
POSTAL CUSTOMER
