Do they positively influence youth, invest in their lives and encourage them? They may be someone Youth First would like to recognize through a "Distinguished Service Award." Each year the Andover, Anoka, Ramsey Youth First organization recognizes outstanding residents, businesses or organizations for their commitment to youth. The Award will be presented at the 11 th Annual Mayors' Prayer Breal(fast on March 18th at 7: 15 a.m. hosted this year by the City of Andover at the Constance Evangelical Free Church in Andover. LADIES GOLF LEAGUE IS GROWING Rum River Hills Golf Club in Ramsey is a course designed for golfers of all abilities. It is located on Highway 47 and nestled in amongst the trees, rolling hills and the beautiful Rum River. The Ladies of Rum River are hoping to expand their league on Wednesday nights. "What a perfect way to spend a summer evening", said Paula K. Anderson, Vice President of the league. " I have met so many nice people here, and my game has improved too!". She and the other officers are hoping to increase the size of the league by 20%- 30%. "We're here for fun, the more the merrier", said Anderson. Jeff Tollette, the Golf Pro at RRH has said that if the ladies can get 100 people out on a consistent basis every Wednesday, they can have the entire course for the evening. Anyone interested in joining the Wednesday night league should call the course at 763-753-3339. There will be a new member orientation meeting held on April 20 at 6:30pm at McDuffs restaurant located above the Pro Shop. T AX V OLUNTEERS AT RAMSEY CITY HALL: Anoka County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Coordinators will be at Ramsey City Hall, Lower Level on Thursday, May 5, 2005, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 :30 a.m. to help seniors and people with disabilities complete their Minnesota Property Tax/ Rent Credit forms. Tree Waste (charged by the cubic yard) - brush, logs and stumps. Finished compost is available at both sites. The unscreened compost is free-of-charge to Anol(a County residents and screened compost is available for a fee. In addition, a variety of mulches are for sale at the Bunker Hills site.
