14
ATTENTION
SNOWMOBILERS
IN ANOKA COUNTY

RA~lf~
SNo:a

SNOWMOBILE CLUB

Are you a member of your local
snowmobile club? You should be! Joining a club
isn't just an excellent way to meet other
snowmobilers in your area, more importantly,
participation in your local club can positively affect
the future of snowmobiling in your community. In
order to preserve our right to ride in this area, we
need to band together - we all know there is
strength in numbers. The Ramsey Snow-Rams
are always seeking new members to join our club.
Our club brings sledders of all ages together to
promote and enjoy the positive aspects of this sport
that we love.
Throughout the year, we are involved in
various activities including teaching snowmobile
safety classes, participating in the Anol(a
Halloween Parades, worl(ing at Happy Days, and
Adopt-A-Roadway clean up. All club members
automatically receive a membership in MnUSA,
the state organization that is dedicated to
maintaining our rights as snowmobilers in
Minnesota. By joining our club, you are supporting
snowmobiling in your own community, as well as
throughout the state.
With winter in full force, now is the time
to join a club and mal(e a difference! The Snow-
Rams meet at 7:30 p.m. on the first Monday of
each month at SuperBowl off Highway #10 in
Ramsey. For more information, checl( out our
website: www.snowrams.org or e-mail us at
RamseySnowRams@aol.com, or contact Tim at
763-424-5329 or Bob at 763-427-3944.

DOLLARS INTO SENSE CLASSES

Anol(a County Extension Service Staff
and Dollar Works Volunteers will present Free
Dollars Into Sense classes on March 15 and
April 21, 10: 00 a.m. and again at 7: 00 p.m. at the
Bunker Hills Activities Center (550 Bunker Lal(e
Blvd, Andover) To register, call the University of
Minnesota Extension Service, Anoka County, at
763-755-1280 at least three days prior to the class
you wish to attend. Classes will cover budgeting
and address credit issues, tracking expenses,
making a spending plan, goal setting and how to
get help.

SENIOR CITIZENS
GOING TO BED HUNGRY

Today many seniors are facing unprecedented financial
challenges. Many of our loved ones are being forced to make difficult
choices. Often the decision involves paying for prescriptions and other
bills, OR paying for food. Too often nutrition is not given priority.
Meals on Wheels is helping seniors who need nutritious meals, but
cannot make or afford them. Meals on Wheels continues to alleviate
hunger for thousands of seniors across our community. Your support
of Meals on Wheels will make a difference.
This year we are facing cuts in funding for Meals on Wheels.
The Federal and State Governments provide only 29% of the funding
needed to provide meals in our area. Whatever you can donate will
ease the burden to bring meals to all that need them. We serve the
fastest growing segment of the population. The need is growing faster
than our ability to provide service.
Please remember a loved one or a home-bound neighbor with
a special gift and if you lmow of someone who might be able to help
us deliver meals, please let us lmow. When you give one hour a week
or month to deliver meals, you get endless rewards.
We appreciate whatever you can do to support our work by
helping those who need a little assistance to remain living in their own
homes. For informationonthe Meals on Wheels Program, please
contact Maggi Novak, Executive Director of North Anoka Meals on
Wheels, 763-434-2036.

ST.
