The school hosts varied environmental education displays and hands on learning opportunities. CITY RECEIVES GRANT On February 9,2005, the Metropolitan Council awarded the City of Ramsey a grant of $363,756.00 from their Livable Communities grant program to fund the construction of an amphitheatre and trails in the central parl( located in the Ramsey Town Center. Overall, the Metropolitan Council approved $7.5 million in Livable Communities grants to eight projects in seven cities that demonstrate land uses that linl( housing, jobs and services, including transit. In a very competitive selection process with numerous Twin City municipalities, Ramsey ranl(ed second highest overall when compared to other projects. In the past two years, the City has received Livable Communities grant awards of$800,000.00 to fund the construction of Sun wood Drive through the Town Center and $2.2 million to assist in the construction of a parl(ing ramp in the Town Center. Construction of the park improvements are expected to commence this summer.
