The rural area, beyond 1000 feet
of a hydrant has been classified as a 9.
In mid 2004, the City of Ramsey underwent an evaluation of its
fire protection service through the ISO (Insurance Service Offices). The
procedure included analyzing fire department equipment, maintenance
procedures, response guidelines, training, and response history. The city's
water utility was also evaluated, including capacities and maintenance
procedures.
Effective February 1 st 2005, the urban area is lowered to a
class 5 with the rural area at a class 7, within a 5 mile driving
radius from the nearest fire station. This could mean reduced
insurance costs. Call your insurance agent and make sure they
have heard the good news.

ATTENTION:
PARENTS OF SECOND AND
THIRD GRADERS

Getting a little tired of the tricks that
Mother Nature is playing this winter?
