The school hosts varied environmental <br />education displays and hands on learning opportunities. <br />There is an Arbor Day Ceremony and tree planting. <br />Agency booths and non - profit organizations have <br />information tables. The petting zoo is a favorite for the <br />youngsters. This is a family fun fair with a basic <br />environmental health, hobby and education theme. More than 40 percent of all head injury - <br />related deaths and approximately three - fourths of head <br />injuries occur among children ages 14 and under. <br />Wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head <br />injury by 85%. <br />Anoka County SAFE KIDS wants to make sure <br />your family has bike helmets. During the month of May, <br />we will be traveling around the county distributing and <br />PROPERLY FITTING bike helmets for Anoka County <br />residents. There is a fee of $8.50 for <br />each helmet. Bring the whole family, we will fit adults <br />too - and we will be happy to fit helmets you already <br />own.
