Primary objectives of the position include: <br />providing general maintenance of parks, trails, buildings, related facilities, <br />streets, utilities and equipment through the spring, summer, and fall months. <br />Applicants must have a valid Minnesota Driver's License and be at least 16 <br />years of age. The starting wage for new hires is $8.50/hr. <br /> <br />Engineering Intern <br /> <br />The city of Ramsey is now taking applications for an Engineering Intern to <br />work during the summer. Minimum requirements: Applicants must be civil engi- <br />neering students in their sophomore year or must have completed one year of <br />technical college in Municipal Engineering. The selected candidate can begin <br />work as early as mid-April. Hours are 7:30 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. <br />Wages: $9.00 to $11.00 per hour depending on qualifications. <br /> <br />To obtain an application, please visit our website at www.ci.ramsey.mn.us. <br />call 763-576-4301, or stop by Ramsey City Hall (15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />NW, Ramsey, MN 55303). Seasonal positions are open until filled. The first <br />review of applications will be March 17, 2006. <br /> <br />The Public Works Department <br />will be doing their semi-annual flush- <br />ing of watermains and hydrants <br />beginning Monday, April 10 through <br />Friday, April 21. Please be aware that <br />this flushing, while it is necessary, <br />will create a disturbance in the sys- <br />tem and may cause your water to be <br />discolored. Although the water may <br />be discolored by rust, it is fit for <br />human consumption but it may stain <br />clothes that are being washed. To <br />alleviate this problem, you may want <br />to fill your washer with water and <br />check on its clarity before adding <br />your clothes. We appreciate your <br />patience and regret any inconven- <br />ience that this may <br />cause.
