Local <br />nurseries will be on hand with a wide <br />selection of fruit, nut, shade trees, and <br />shrubs for sale. A range of sizes at <br />sale prices will be available: seedlings, <br />potted and bare root saplings and larg- <br />er balled and burlap transplants. The <br />tree sale is from 7 :00 am to 1 :00 pm, <br /> <br />Events <br /> <br />programs and exhibits are from 8:00 <br />am to 1 :00 pm. <br />Local nature artists, wild crafters <br />and woodcrafters are welcome to <br />come and demonstrate their hobby <br />and display their local home made art, <br />toys, birdhouses, utensils, etc. Non- <br />profit groups are also invited to <br />introduce their organizations and their <br />green mission to local residents. The <br />city of Ramsey Park Board, <br />Environmental Policy Board, and <br />Ramsey Fire Department will also be <br />represented at the event. <br />The Raptor Center, Bell <br />Museum, Herpetological Society, <br /> <br />2006 Bike Helmet Fitting Clinics <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />Nationwide, bike related crash- <br />es kill over 900 people every year <br />and send about 567,000 to hospital <br />emergency rooms with injuries. <br />Wearing a bike helmet can reduce <br />the risk of head injury by 850/0. <br />Safe Kids Anoka County wants <br />to make sure your family has bike <br />helmets. During the months of April <br />and May, we will be traveling around <br />the county distributing and properly <br />fitting bike helmets. The cost of a <br />sty lish new helmet is $8.50 and we <br /> <br />are happy to fit helmets you already <br />own. The Ramsey <br />School Readiness Preschool is locat- <br />ed at the Rum River Plaza, 5906 <br /> <br />167th Avenue NW. Preschool classes <br />are held two or three days a week <br />with a choice of morning or after- <br />noon sessions. The preschool year <br />runs from September through May. <br />Children must be at least three <br /> <br />years old, on or before September 1, <br />2006. Parents provide transportation <br />to preschool. Fee assistance is avail- <br />able based on family size and <br />income.
