Mayor Heineman asked whether any councilmembers wished to respond to questions raised during citizen input and indicated he planned to continue most discussions with residents individually following the meeting. He encouraged attendees to remain for the remainder of the meeting and explained that the Council had researched the issues originally on the agenda. Mayor Heineman also responded to comments suggesting the Council should focus solely on City matters, explaining that the City regularly handles a significant workload while still addressing broader concerns raised by residents. He referenced approximately 470 cases the City had worked on during his time as Mayor and stated that the Council was capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. He reminded attendees that post -meeting conversations would need to occur individually to comply with open meeting law requirements and avoid improper Council deliberations outside public meetings. 5.
