Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-134 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SOLICITATION OF REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR A WELL SITING STUDY FOR WELLS NO. 9 AND NO. 10 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey's municipal water supply system uses groundwater as <br />its water source; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey utilizes eight municipal wells to supply water to the <br />municipal water supply system; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the adopted 2026 — 2035 Capital Improvement Plan, two new <br />municipal water supply wells, wells #9 and #10, are proposed for construction in 2027 and 2030, <br />and the required well siting study is proposed to be completed in 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, contracted engineering services must be utilized to complete the required <br />well siting study to ensure wells #9 and #10 can be constructed as proposed to ensure the <br />municipal water supply system will continue to provide adequate quantities of safe drinking <br />water into the foreseeable future. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to solicit Requests for <br />Proposals from qualified engineering consultants to prepare a Well Siting Study for <br />proposed municipal groundwater wells #9 and #10. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #26-134 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
