History of legislative recommendations <br />Table 7. History and status of Metropolitan Council-auppui mr(i water supply recommendations to the Minnesota Legislature. <br />Recommendation to the Legislature <br />2007: Approve statutory changes clarifying agency roles in water supply plan <br />review and consolidate into one statute the requirements of community <br />water supply plans in the metropolitan area. <br />2007: Support an appropriate level of state funding, upon the request of local <br />governmental units, for interconnections and other physical water system <br />improvements to ensure water supply reliability, natural resource <br />protection, and/or safety and security, including economic security, of the <br />region and state.
