CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />05/26/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Promote economic growth and development. <br />7. 3. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Ordinance #26-10 Authorizing the City of Ramsey to Sell/Convey Parcel of Real Property <br />Purpose/Background: <br />As required by the City Charter, the City must pass an ordinance to declare and sell surplus City owned land. The <br />purpose of this case is to adopt an ordinance to sell property owned by the City, as surplus City owned land, no <br />longer needed for current or future City functions or Right of Way. The total number of parcels available sale is <br />one (1) and is legally described at Tract B, Registered Land Survey No. 251. This parcel will likely be <br />marketed/sold for development to an adjacent landowner, as it does not have access to Sunfish Lake Blvd. This <br />parcel is currently not a buildable lot due to the topography, and existing stonnwater and MPCA infrastructure. <br />Notification: <br />The draft Ordinance #26-10 will be posted at City Hall from May 12, 2026 - May 27, 2026 and published in the <br />Anoka Union Herald Newspaper on May 29th, if adopted. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />City Charter requires the City Council to introduce and ultimately adopt the attached Ordinance #26-10 <br />authorizing the City of Ramsey to sell/convey parcels of real property. This ordinance was introduced at <br />the May 12, 2026 City Council Meeting and the Council will consider formal adoption of the ordinance at <br />this meeting per the City Charter. <br />Alternatives to consider: <br />1. Approval of the ordinance as presented by staff. <br />2. Make modifications to the ordinance. <br />3.
