<br />Councilmember Olson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-11-369 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING DESCRETIONARY EXPENDITURES POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, on an annual basis, adopts a budget for training, travel, <br />and miscellaneous operating expenditures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to participate in and attend various events <br />sponsored by the local Chambers of Commerce and other community partners to maintain a <br />positive public image and support the efforts of such organizations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City conducts various employee recognition and appreciation events <br />throughout the year to recognize the contributions of the staff that serve the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to establish a policy that clearly defines such public <br />purpose expenditures. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopts the Discretionary Expenditures <br />policy. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Pearson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />
