Subd. 3. Home Occupation Signs. Home Occupation signs may be permitted in <br />accordance with Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the City Code. <br /> <br />9.12.08 Business Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. <br /> <br />Business Use Signs <br /> <br />WalI, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sig-n area may not exceed fifteen percent <br />(15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in multi-tenant buildinzs shall be <br />allowed the proportionate share of the total wall si,~n area. '^ · ~ .... cc-, ....... + <br />(50%) · <br /> ....... , ................. : .................... The total wall <br />silage, pe~i~ed may be dist~buted on any other buildin~ facade. Si~ height <br />shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no parapet wall, si~ height shall <br />not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, canopy or marquee si~ may be located <br />on the oute~ost wall of any principal buildin~ but shall not prgject more than <br />sixteen (16) inches from the wall to which the si~ is to be affixed. · The ~oss <br />su~ace area of a wall, canopy or marquee si~ may be increased by ten percent <br />(10%) if such wall si~: <br /> <br />1. Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or symbolic <br /> characters without background except that provided by the building surface to <br /> which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />2. Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded illumination, shidded <br /> silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any lighting where the <br /> light sot~rce is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign for each parcel. <br />The goss surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square <br />feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two <br />hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />Service Bay Identification Signs. Service bay identification signs providing <br />direction or instruction to persons using the facility and containing no advertising <br />material of any kind shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />1. All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one (1) service bay identification sign for each <br />service bay located on the parcel. <br /> <br />394 <br /> <br /> <br />
