<br />9.11.15 Permitted Encroachments. The following shall not be considered as
<br />encroachments on setbacks and height requirements:

<br />In any yards: off-street parking spaces, terraces, awnings, canopies,
<br />steps, chimneys, flag poles;
<br />
<br />Fences, walls and hedges: .n°tw/thstanding any other provisions of
<br />this City Code, fences, walls, and hedges are permitted i_n or along
<br />the edge of any residential yard;
<br />
<br />In rear yards: recreational and laundry drying equipment, arbors and
<br />trellises, balconies, breezeways, open porches, detached outdoor
<br />living rooms and private garages, providing a setback of five (5) feet
<br />or the depth of any existing eaements, whichever is greater, is
<br />. ma/ntained;
<br />
<br />Height limitations shall not apply to barns, silos, ~md other structures
<br />on farms, church spires, belfries, cupolas and domes, monuments,
<br />water towers, fire and hose towers, obsmwation towers, chimneys
<br />and smokestacks, flag poles, telephone poles, and parapet wails not
<br />extending more than four feet above the limiting height of the
<br />building.
