124 <br /> <br /> Equipment, Private Use - Any motorized or non-mOtorized apparatus whose <br />primary use is for personal activities not related to generating revenue or profit. <br /> <br /> Essential Services - The erection, construction, alteration or maintenance of <br />underground or overhead gas, electrical, steam or water transmission or distribution systems, <br />collection, communication, supply or disposal systems by public utilities, municipal or other <br />governmental agencies, but not including buildings. <br /> <br /> Farm - A tract of land used for agricultural uses which is under cultivation or is <br />fenced and utilized as pasture. <br /> <br /> Farming - Process of operating a farm for the growing and harvesting of crops <br />which shall include those necessary accessory buildings, related to operating a farm, and the <br />keeping of domestic farm animals. <br /> <br /> Fence - A fence is defined for the purpose of this-City Code as any partition, <br />structure, wall or gate erected as a dividing marker, barrier or enclosure. <br /> <br />Filling - The act of depositing any rock, soil, gravel, sand or any other material. <br /> <br />Flood Fringe -That portion of the flood plain outside of the floodway. <br /> <br /> Floodplain - The areas adjoining a watercourse which have been or hereafter <br />may be covered by the regional flood. <br /> <br /> Floodway - The channel of the watercourse and those portions of the adjoining <br />flood plain which are reasonably required to carry and discharge the regional flood. <br /> <br /> Floor Area Ratio - The total floor area on a zoning lot divided by the total site <br />area of the lot or parcel being developed. <br /> <br /> Floor Area - The sum of the gross horizontal areas of the several floors of a <br />building or buildings measured from the exterior faces of exterior walls or from the centertine of <br />party walls. <br /> <br /> Garage, Primary Residential - A garage attached to the principal building or <br />dwelling, or a detached garage where an attached garage does not exist, intended for the storage <br />of vehicles and items accessory to the principal use of the property. Primary garages, attached or <br />detached, shall be considered accessory buildings.
