P34 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to direct staff to <br />enter into an assumption agreement to transfer the Development Agreement from Direct <br />Enclosures to a qualifying candidate subject to City Attorney approval. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, and <br />Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Review and Adopt 2003 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91-08 <br />amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City Council to annually set fees. Staff <br />presented a schedule of rates, fees, and charges, which includes the adopted 2002 and the <br />changes for which the proposed 2003 schedule is arrived at. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired about the increase in liquor license costs. <br /> <br />Interim Police Chief Way explained that he researched, what neighboring communities are <br />charging as well as reviewed the costs the City incurs for compliance checks. After reviewing <br />that informationm, staff determined an increase in fee was appropriate. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired as to what a dangerous dog license was. <br /> <br />Interim Police Chief Way explained that if an animal is involved in a. bite situation the City <br />would issue a dangerous dog permit and charge a $500 fee for the permit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if there is a lot of problems with dangerous dogs in the City. <br /> <br />Sergeant Way replied that they probably have five to ten a year. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if the pawn shop fee issue had been addressed. <br /> <br />Interim Police Chief Way replied that he would be working on that issue in the near future. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Resolution <br />#02-11-288 Adopting the 2003 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8a: <br /> <br />Consent Agenda #9: Adopt Resolution Requesting the Acquisition of Three <br />Tax Forfeited Wetland parcels <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the cost was going to be to acquire the wetlands. <br /> <br />City Council/November 12, 2002 <br /> Page 18 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
