I 5) Signalization of 167th AvenUe NW and T.H. 347 Staff gave an update on the traffic analysis that was completed by MnDOT at the intersection of 167th Avenue NW and T.H. #47 and staff was directed to bring data back to a future Public Works Committee meeting. Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Case #12: Report from Personnel Committee The Personnel Committee met earlier on September 11, 2002, to discuss the following Cases: 1) Authorize Hiring of Human Resources Manager The Personnel Cormnittee recommended that the City Council authorize the City Administrator to hire one of the top two candidates, pending the outcome of negotiations with the candidates, with ratification occurring at the September 24~' meeting of the City Council. 2) Discussion of City Administrator Contract Consensus was to discuss the contract further at a future meeting to allow Councilmembers an opportunity to review the contract. Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the recommendations of the Personnel Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson,. Kurak, Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #13: Report from Finance Committee The Finance Committee met on September 11, 2002 to discuss the following cases: 1) Adopt Resolution Approving Proposed 2003 Payable Tax Levy The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #02-09- 235 Approving the Proposed Maximum 2002, Payable 2003, Tax Levy in the amount of $4,835,508 and to schedule the City of Ramsey's initial budget public hearing on City Council/September 11, 2002 Page 29 of 31 P67
