Staff does not mail letters to property owners for pavement marking improvements, since the work occurs quickly <br />and has only short-term impacts to the traveling public or abutting properties. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Observations: <br />Estimates are based off of awarded bids for Crack Seal and Pavement Rejuvenation. Estimate for Pavement <br />Markings is based off of previous pavement markings on selected street segments. <br />Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #26-144 accepting proposals and awarding a contract to Sir Lines -A -Lot for the total <br />amount of $24,273.10 for 2026 Pavement Marking Improvements, Improvement Project #26-11. <br />Funding Source: <br />City staff sent Request for Proposals (RFP) to three contractors known to perform this type of work. A total of <br />one (1) proposal was received and found to comply with the RFP. Sir Lines -A -Lot submitted a proposal for a <br />total cost of $24,273.10. <br />The city budgeted $650,000 in 2026 for contracted street maintenance services including; crack sealing, <br />pavement rejuvenation, and refreshing pavement markings. <br />The costs based off of bid projects for pavement maintenance improvements is: <br />• IP 26-09 Crack Seal <br />• IP 26-10 Pavement Rejuvenation <br />• IP 26-11 Pavement Markings <br />$159,951.90 <br />$327,922.41 <br />$24,273.10 <br />• Total Pavement Maintenance Costs $512,147.41 <br />o Under a separate City Council agenda item, Resolution #26-145 is requesting to accept bids and <br />award contract for 2026 Pavement Skim Patching, Maintenance Project #26-53.
