Minnesota. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsay, on October 9, 2001, issued a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to Verizon Wireless allowing <br />for the construction, and operation of a wireless antenna site on city owned property. ~ <br /> <br />Since that time Vedzon Wireless and the City of Racy have been in negotiations on site lease language <br />acceptable to both parties. The issue of a~ss to the Water Tower is the last remaining item to be resolved. <br />After discussions with Brian Oison, Engineer for the .City of Ramsay, we have arrived at language acceptable to <br />Verizon Wireless and Bdan. At Brian's direction, Vefizon Wiretess has provided the City Attorney, William <br />Goodrich, with the revised Lease for his review and subsequent signature by the appropriate c~ty officials. It is <br />our hope this will be completed shortly. <br /> <br />It has come to my attention that the current CUPwill become void on August 31,2082 unless a building permit <br />is issued prior to that date. Verizon Wireless is unable to make application and pull the building permit until such <br />time as we have reached agreement on the terms of our site lease with the city. <br /> <br />We are hereby requesting that the city approve a twelve (12) month extension of the CUP expiration date, to <br />August 31, 2003. Because of their construction sclledule, Vedzon Wireless will likely not be able to start <br />construction of this site in 2002. Approval of this request will provide sufficient time for the city to review and <br />approve the lease and to review and approve the construction plans allowing Vedzon Wireless to obtain the <br />building permit and schedule a construction start date.
