I I I I CASE #: ] CHAPTER 9 RESIDENTIAL ZONING DIST.RICT AMENDMENTS By: Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon Background: On December 18, 2001, the Ramsey City Council adopted the March 2001 Draft Comprehensive Plan As a result, the City has been updating Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision Chapter) to be consistent with new Comprehensive Plan. A Chapter 9 subcommittee, comprised of the City Council and Planning Commission, has been meeting since February 2002 reviewing' language changes. At this time, City staff is bringing forward the residential zoning district regulations for consideration and public hearing. Along with text amendments, a new residential zoning map will need to be considered. The following 'items are enclosed: a) b) c) d) ~) Proposed R-I Residential Zo .ning District Proposed R-2 Residential Zoning District Proposed R-3 Residential Zoning District Proposed Planned Unit Development District Proposed Residential Zoning District Map (to be provided at meeting) Observations: The Planning Commission will need to conduct a public hearing on the proPosed language and map changes. The City of Ramsey has sent a mailing to all Ramsey residents notifying them of the public hearing. The City's consultant from Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc, Loren Gordon, will be present to review the proposed residential zoning districts. Staff is looking for a recommendation by the Planning Commission on the proposed amendments to be forwarded to the City Council.
