I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-05- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0 TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY FROM B-I BUSINESS AND B-2 BUSINESS ~ TO R-3 URBAN <br />RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 2002, the City received an application to rezone certain property <br />in accordance with Section 9.03.03 of the Rarr~ey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Oakwood Land Development, Inc., hereinafter referred to as ,Applicant," has properly' <br />applied to rezone certain property from B-1 Business and B-2 Business to "R-3 Urban <br />Residential. <br /> <br />That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of the <br />City Code on May 2, 2002, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the minutes <br />of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 23, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka CoUnty, Minnesota <br /> <br />4. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately 18.6 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is currently zoned B-1 Business and B-2 BUSiness and is located <br /> within the boundaries of the current Metropolitan Urban Service Area CMUSA). <br /> <br />That the adjacent property to the north is in the process of being rezoned from R-1 Rural <br />Residential to R-I Urban Residential, the property to the east is zoned R-3 Urban Residential, <br />the property to the west is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and the property on the south side of <br />Alpine Drive N.W. is owned by the City of Ramsey and identified on the official zoning map <br />as Quasi-Public Open Space. <br /> <br />7. That the 2001 Comprehensive Plan designates the property for Iow density residential <br /> development. <br /> <br />That on February 7, 2002, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing regarding <br />numerous proposed amendments to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan and recommended that <br />City Council approve reclassifying the Subject Property from loW to medium density <br />residential. <br /> <br />79 <br /> <br /> <br />
