Councilmember Peters introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #26-141 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO MP ASPHALT MAINTENANCE <br />LLC FOR 2026 CRACK SEAL IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #26-09 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the <br />bituminous pavement on public streets by sealing cracks on an annual basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2026 includes $650,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous <br />public street segments in support of the City’s Pavement Management Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-030, adopted January 27, <br />2026, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-066, adopted March 10, <br />2026, a contract was awarded to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, Minnesota, in the amount <br />of $149,478.00 for said improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as of June 23, 2026 $0.00 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, Minnesota, for improvement <br />project #26-09, 2026 Crack Seal Improvements, in the amount of $143,992.00. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to MP Asphalt Maintenance of Buffalo, <br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #26-09, 2026 Crack Seal Improvements in the amount <br />of $143,992.00. <br /> <br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the day of June 23, 2026. <br /> <br />4) The City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
