Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #26-143 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CAROL-ROSE <br />ACRES & SPORTS HAVEN STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #26-03 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Carol-Rose <br />Acres & Sports Haven subdivisions as identified within the 2026 – 2035 Capital Improvement <br />Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-082, adopted April 22, <br />2025, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk for topographic <br />survey of the project area in the amount of $5,461.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-101, adopted May 13, <br />2025, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies, <br />Inc. for geotechnical survey of the project area in the amount of $7,715.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-137, adopted June 24, <br />2025, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Carol- <br />Rose Acres & Sports Haven Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #26-03; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-105, adopted May 12, <br />2026, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking from Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br />for said improvements in the amount of $36,394.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on Friday May 15, and <br />Friday May 22, 2026; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, two (2) bids were received, opened and tabulated on June 15, 2026, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement <br />for bids; and <br /> <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />North Valley, Inc. $763,724.51 <br />Park Construction Company $844,247.60 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley, Inc. in the amount of $763,724.51 for the total bid <br />for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications <br />and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is <br />accepted. <br />
