<br />CASE #: 3 <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Community Development Staff <br /> <br /> <br />Memo <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />February 22, 2007 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning Commission <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />January 23 and February 13 City Council meeting review. The following is a brief summary <br />of actions taken by the City Council that may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Pine Prairie Preliminary Plat and Preliminary Site Plan. This case has not yet been scheduled <br />for a Council meeting. <br /> <br />Proposed ordinance to amend lot standards in the Rural Developing District. On January 23, <br />City Council introduced an ordinance to change the lots standards in this District to 2.5 acres. <br />The Council adopted the ordinance on February 13. <br /> <br />Proposed Amendments To Town Center District Regulations. On February 13, Council <br />introduced an ordinance to amend the Town Center District regulations. Adoption of the <br />ordinance is on the February27 Council agenda. <br /> <br />Proposed Amendments to B-3 Business District Regulations. City Council introduced the <br />amendments on January 23 and adopted the ordinance on February 13. <br /> <br />Ordinance to Rezone the Certain City-Owned Properties to Public/Quasi Public; Case of City of <br />Ramsey. On February 13, the Council adopted the ordinance to rezone Fire Station #1 and the <br />Public Works Facility to Public/Quasi-Public. <br /> <br />Selection of Consultant for 2008 Comprehensive Plan. A subcommittee of 3 Planning <br />Commissioners (Jessica Trites-Rolle, Ralph Hunt, Teri Cleveland) and 3 Councilmembers <br />(David Elvig, David Jeffrey, and Sarah Strommen) met on February 15 to interview the top 4 <br />consultant candidates. There was unanimous consensus to recommend that City Council award <br />the contract to DSU/Bonestroo. The contract award willbe on the March 13 Council agenda. <br /> <br />11 <br />
