CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Members Absent: None <br />Also Present: Interim City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:08 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Dehen. <br />CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION <br />Police Officer Ben Rossum stated on January 8° police officers responded to a medical <br />emergency in the City of Ramsey involving a citizen. The call was placed by a nine year old <br />citizen who provided information to the dispatch center. She did an amazing job, and her <br />younger brother assisted by opening the door for the officers. Without their help this bad <br />situation would have been a lot worse. Officer Rossum presented Nicole and Jacob Michaelson <br />with a Certificate of Appreciation and a letter commending them for their actions in assisting <br />with the 911 call and the officers as they arrived on the scene. <br />City Council / February 13, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 25 <br />
