C wow , 1 7 <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #07- 02 -XXX <br />• <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 9 TH PARTIAL PAYMENT TO LATOUR <br />CONSTRUCTION AND RELEASE OF RETAINAGE TO SECURITIES AMERICA FOR <br />PROJECT #03 -20 NW SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION <br />WHEREAS, the design of this project was authorized by the City Council at their May <br />11, 2004 regular City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, a public participation program was authorized by the City Council at their <br />December 6, 2004 regular City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, a public informational meeting was held on February 7, 2005, at Ramsey <br />Fire Station No. 1 which outlined 5 alternative alignments; and . <br />WHEREAS, a Option No. 3 was selected and authorized by the City Council at their <br />April 12th, 2005 regular City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 10, 2006 City Council adopted Resolution #06 -01 -011 <br />approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 28 2006 the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #06- <br />• 02 -069 awarding the contract to LaTour Construction; and <br />WHEREAS, 2nd partial payment will be paid as such; to LaTour Construction in the <br />amount of $595,093.38 and Securities America for retainage of $31,320.70 for a total payment of <br />$626,414.08. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommend 3 rd partial payment to be paid as such: to LaTour Construction <br />in the amount of $1,455,143.03 and Securities America for retainage of $76,586.47 for a total <br />payment of $1,531,729.50. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommend 4 th partial payment to be paid as such: to LaTour Construction <br />in the amount of $1,137,999.25 and Securities America for retainage of $59, 894.70 for a total <br />payment of $1,197,893.95. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer, Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommend 5 th partial payment to be paid as such: to LaTour Construction <br />in the amount of $1,010,241.47 and Securities America for retainage of $53,170.61 for a total <br />payment of $1,063,412.08. <br />• <br />RESOLUTION #07- 02 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />-53- <br />
