C so /0 <br />• ADOPT 2007 FIVE -YEAR STRATEGIC GOALS <br />By: Heidi A. Nelson, Interim City Administrator <br />Background <br />On January 19` & 20 2007, City Council and Department Heads participated in an annual Strategic <br />Planning /Goal Setting Session. One of the outcomes of the Strategic Planning Session is the <br />development of five -year goals and specific performance points to be addressed in 2007 -2008. The <br />specific performance points for 2007 -2008 have been incorporated into the 2007 Workplan and <br />Objectives. Both of these documents (2007 —Five Year Goals and 2007 Work Plan and Objectives) <br />were reviewed at the City Council work session of February 13` and have been revised based upon <br />work session discussion. The five -year strategic goals are now ready for adoption, 2007 Work Plan <br />and Objectives are presented for adoption in a separate case this evening. <br />Funding Source: No funding required for adoption of goals, implementation funded via 2007 General <br />Fund Budget or by other funds with Council authorization. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />By motion, adopt 2007 Five -Year Strategic Goals. <br />Council Action: <br />By motion, adopt 2007 Five -Year Strategic Goals. <br />• Reviewed by: <br />Interim City Administrator <br />CC: 02/27/07 <br />• <br />-77- <br />
