Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION #26-167
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br />ON AUGUST 11, 2026
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on Tuesday,
<br />August 11, 2026; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $12.50 for election judge trainees, $12.50 for
<br />regular election judges and $12.50 for head judges; and
<br />WHEREAS, when necessary, regular City staff working as judges on election day will be
<br />paid their normal hourly wage.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primacy
<br />Election to be held on August 11, 2026:

<br />Chicoine, Katherine Dague, Elaine Drew, George Drew, Tim Dusbabek, Patricia
<br />Dusbabek, Todd Embury, Marivic Engquist, John Freeburg, Anna Garnet, Paula Gillen,
<br />Colleen Graber, Timothy Graber, Deb Hanson, Mark Heule, A.C. Del Howe III, Hollie
<br />Kilroy, Jackie La Tour, James Lahr, Jennifer Leistico, Sheila Lemke, Dawn Lenton, Justin
<br />Loss, Jean Max, David May, Michaela Mekosch, Robert Moser, Nancy Nelson, Michelle
<br />Olson, Deb Pace, Diana Pennington, Fredric Ritchie, Sharon Schmalzer, Sarah Schmit,

<br />Election to be held on August 11, 2026:

<br />Steblay and Jill Winger.
<br />3) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br />should the need arise.
