Letter of Support <br />To the Ramsey City Council, <br />I am writing to express my full support for bringing Gather to Ramsey. <br />June 30, 2026 <br />As the owner of Jubilee Bakery, a local cottage bakery, I understand firsthand how important it is to have <br />community -centered spaces that support both residents and small businesses. I also grew up in Ramsey, and <br />for years I have dreamed of our city having a place just like this —a welcoming space where people can gather, <br />connect, and build community. Seeing that vision become a possibility is incredibly exciting. <br />A welcoming tea and coffee shop is more than just a place to enjoy a drink —it becomes a place where <br />neighbors connect, friendships grow, small meetings happen, and community is built. It provides a comfortable <br />space for families, students, remote workers, local organizations, and friends to gather throughout the day. <br />As Ramsey continues to grow, I believe it's especially important to invest in businesses that are locally owned <br />rather than another large national chain. Independent businesses bring character, create a unique sense of <br />place, and help foster the hometown atmosphere that so many residents value. They also keep more dollars <br />circulating within our local economy and help create a downtown feel that encourages people to stay, gather, <br />and support other nearby businesses. <br />A space like Gather would also create meaningful opportunities for local cottage food producers, bakers, artists, <br />and artisans by providing a place to collaborate, showcase their work, host pop-up events, and build <br />relationships within the community. Supporting local entrepreneurs encourages small business growth and <br />strengthens the local economy. <br />As a local cottage baker, I am in full support of bringing Gather to Ramsey.
