Ms. Gretchen Sable of Andover explained that she and Jody Anderson attended on behalf of Ramsey resident Betsy O'Barry after learning that questions had been raised regarding elections. She briefly described the League of Women Voters' community involvement, including candidate forums and outreach activities, before introducing Ms. Anderson to discuss election procedures. Ms. Jody Anderson, a retired teacher and election judge with more than ten years of experience, described the safeguards built into Minnesota's election process. She compared the former paper poll books with today's electronic poll pads, explaining that electronic systems significantly reduce voter check -in errors, improve efficiency, shorten wait times, verify voter addresses more accurately, and simplify end -of -day reconciliation. She noted that the electronic signature system prevents many of the mistakes that commonly occurred when voters accidentally signed the wrong line in paper poll books. She also explained that electronic poll pads quickly identify a voter's correct polling location if they arrive at the wrong precinct and print directions to the appropriate polling place. Ms. Anderson emphasized that election judges follow extensive procedures designed to protect election integrity and encouraged anyone with concerns to participate in the process by becoming an election challenger or observer. She praised Anoka County Election Manager Tom Hunt and local election administrators for maintaining professional, secure, and transparent elections. Before concluding, she mentioned having participated in a post -election audit after the last presidential election and encouraged interested residents to observe the process firsthand. 5.
