Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #26-163 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND AGREEMENTS WITH CONNEXUS ENERGY FOR THE COR STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 25-12 WHEREAS, the adopted 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program includes proposed street lighting improvement project #25-SLT-001 along new street segments constructed in 2024 with the COR Infrastructure Improvements including Center Street, Ramsey Parkway, Zeolite Street, and other streets as needed to fill in gaps in lighting throughout The COR; and WHEREAS, Connexus Eneregy is the sole vendor available to the City of Ramsey for providing design, construction and maintenance services for street lighting improvements; and WHEREAS, on July 21, 2026, the Public Works Cmmittee unanimously recommended City Council approval of plans and agreements for Improvement Project 25-12; and WHEREAS, Connexus Eenergy submitted final construction plans and the associated construction and maintenance agreements for Improvement Project #25-12 on July 23, 2026. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreements with Connexus Energy for the construction and maintenance of The COR Street Lighting Improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City shall submit payment to Connexus Energy for all costs associated with the construction and ongoing maintenance of said street lighting improvements as outlined within the agreements at such time that the agreements are executed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: RESOLUTION #26-163 Page 1 of 2
