5. 7. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />07/28/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Address infrastructure needs. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #26-166 Awarding Construction Staking Contract for Riverside West Street Reconstructions, Improvement <br />Project #26-06 <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #26-06 awarding construction staking contract for Riverside West Street <br />Reconstructions, Improvement Project #26-06 to Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the total not -to -exceed amount of $6,802.00. <br />Background: <br />On July 14, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-161, awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for <br />Riverside West Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #26-06. <br />Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and city staff does not have the capacity to <br />perform construction staking in-house. <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. submittal a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for a total amount of <br />$6,802.00. <br />City staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of staff's <br />normal duties. <br />Notification: <br />Notifications are not required as part of this case. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #26-06 awarding construction staking contract for Riverside West Street Reconstructions, <br />Improvement Project #26-06 to Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the total not -to -exceed amount of $6,802.00. <br />Funding Source: <br />On July 14, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-161 awarding a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. for said <br />Riverside West Street Reconstructions in the total bid amount of $327,246.47. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 23- <br />percent, the total project costs are estimated to be $402,513.16. Bolton & Menk, Inc provided a construction staking proposal <br />for a total not -to -exceed amount of $6,802.00. Construction staking is included in the 23-percent indirect project costs.
