Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-175 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANOKA RAMSEY ATHLETIC <br />ASSOCIATION'S APPLICATION TO CONDUCT OFF -SITE GAMBLING AT <br />RIVERSBEND BAR & GRILL <br />WHEREAS, Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association has submitted an application to <br />conduct gambling events — raffle — at the Riversbend Bar & Grill on August 8, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the <br />application. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the application to conduct off -site <br />gambling for Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association at Riversbend Bar & Grill 14077 St. <br />Francis Boulevard, Ramsey. <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Director to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Board. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Heineman <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Buscher <br />Councilmember Peters <br />Councilmember Specht <br />Councilmember Stewart <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />
