Councilmember Peters introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-129 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY FUNDING FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Recitals. <br />a) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.101 and Sections 469.090 through <br />469.1082, the Ramsey Economic Development Authority (the "Authority"), is <br />authorized to exercise development and redevelopment powers; and <br />b) It has been proposed that the Authority establish, and the City approve, a <br />Redevelopment Project Area, in connection with the development of an approximately <br />100,000 square -foot youth athletic facility located on 10 acres in the City for use by the <br />Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association (the "Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association Facility <br />Project") and adopting the Redevelopment Plan for the Redevelopment Project Area <br />(the "Plan"); all pursuant to and in conformity with applicable law. <br />2) Request to Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. The City hereby <br />requests funding from the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority in an <br />amount not to exceed $2,300,000. The City proposes apply such amounts to costs of the <br />Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association Facility Project, including a loan to the Anoka <br />Ramsey Athletic Association to finance a portion of the Anoka Ramsey Athletic <br />Association Facility Project. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Heineman <br />Councilmember Peters <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Buscher <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Specht <br />Councilmember Stewart <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
