o To stop encouraging high density housing opportunities for developers & builders.
There are plenty of low end affordable sing family units in Ramsey already as well as
plentiful townhome units. Let's maintain the low-density type of neighborhood that
attracted most of us to Ramsey in the first place. (We've lived here since 1980).
o Don't create ghettos in our community. High rental areas like the townhomes on 47
& Alpine are a huge problem. They are "affordable", but attract unstable people who
seem to have crime following them. Let's encourage stable people in our community.
o Housing is fine as it is. There are no urgent housing needs for the city of Ramsey.
o We do not want excessive amounts of rental property. People moved to Ramsey for a
quiet family atmosphere -rental property brings in a huge amount of undesirables.
Why are you asking? You people always do what you want no matter what the
taxpayers want! !
o The rate of property tax increase will drive out people on fixed incomes out of their
homes.
o A. Construction of modest efficient homes that are not crowded together to achieve
maximum density. B. The main level of the home should be designed for life long
occupancy.
o Single Family Homes
o Affordable housing with walkable areas. We have 4 kids with us living in a 3
bedroom, 1 bath house. We cannot afford the new housing in RTC. We looked at
one model that would fit us all, but it was $400,000. We do not want to leave
Ramsey, so we stay cramped. With RTC developing quickly, we would like the
comfort of knowing that our children will be able to ride their bikes to RTC safely.
