approximately 220 feet of concrete curb and gutter to more clearly delineate the shift of traffic <br />and to waive thc water connection charges associated with Lot 1 of the St. Paul Terminals <br />property. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to the cost of the connection charge. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that the City's water trunk charge is $6,300 per acre and the site <br />being discussed is less than an acre site. He was unsure of the lateral fee. <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman inquired if there would be road easements deeded to the City. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied yes. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson inquired if the scale would still be useable. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied yes, explaining that St. Paul Terminals would be permitted to drive <br />over the curb to use the scale. <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman inquired as to what the long term plan was when the scale is <br />abandoned. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that that issue would be worked out with the land swap negotiations <br />currently taking place. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired as to whom would be responsible for capping the well. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that the property owner has agreed to abandon the well. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson inquired the agreement should include the capping of the well. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson recommended making the change order contingent upon the signing of the <br />easement agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend that <br />the City Council enter into a change order to authorize Erickson Construction to install <br />approximately 220 feet of concrete curb and gutter to more clearly delineate the shift of traffic <br />and waive the water connection charges associated with Lot 1 of the St. Paul Terminals property, <br />contingent upon the signing of the easement agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
