In general, flow velocity for fire training is high and we should try to flush the area prior to <br />scheduled training activities. <br /> <br />Initiate a Customer Complaint Tracking system. This will identify the locations of the <br />complaints we receive and action that was needed to correct the situation. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson noted that in the case of Ms. Hunter's development during the time of the <br />complaint Water Tower #1 was in the process of being repainted and it was the first time that <br />water was coming from Water Tower #2. <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman inquired if the Committee felt that the current policy of notifying <br />residents is sufficient. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was that the current policy was sufficient. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she felt that keeping track of the complaints would be a <br />good idea. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson agreed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the City's water system was constructed in a way that <br />they would only need a single water treatment plant. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that he felt that the City could get by with one water treatment <br />facility. He noted that there is one well on the eastern side of the City that could be abandoned in <br />the future. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Anderson, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to recommend that City <br />Council direct staff to initiate a customer complaint tracking system. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Kurak, <br />and Zimmerman.
