F ~ASE # ~ <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />FOR ALPINE PARK SHELTER <br /> By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On September 22, 1998, City Council approved the Park and Recreation Commission's <br />budget for completion of Alpine Park's first phase. This included a large, hexagonal <br />shelter estimated to cost less than $43,000. <br /> <br />Observation: <br /> <br />The purpose of this case is to request that the Committee recommend City Council <br />authorize staff to advertise for bids for the structure to provide for a completion date <br />coinciding with the park's baseball game season of May/June, 1999. <br /> <br />The shelter's specifications will be those that provided us with the 1997 shelters at <br />River's Bend and Alpine Parks.
