CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: <br />3. 2. <br />09/08/2026 <br />Enhance City's communication through transparency and accountability. <br />Title: <br />Anoka County Sheriff's Office Drone Assisted Response and Automated License Plate Reader Pilot Project <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Anoka County Sheriff Brad Wise will provide an overview of the collaborative Anoka County Drone -Assisted Response and Automated <br />License Plate Reader pilot program, including the pilot's purpose, how public safety agencies will use the technology, and the anticipated <br />benefits to public safety. <br />Ramsey Police Chief Brad Bluml will also be present to provide information and statistics regarding the Ramsey Police Department's <br />current use of Automated License Plate Reader technology, including examples of how the technology has assisted investigations, helped <br />residents, and enhanced public safety, and to answer questions from the City Council. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Additional information regarding the Ramsey Police Department's use of camera and ALPR technology, including policies and frequently <br />asked questions, is available on the Police Department's website.
