I just wanted to highlight a few items you need to be aware of. <br /> <br />· Tent: You have stated you will have the band inside the tent as well as event <br />attendees. The tent must be secure and have no direct access from the parking lot. <br />If the access to the. tent is not from the facility at Diamonds, the State of <br />Minnesota has determined you will need to apply for a caterer's permit - that will <br />allow food and alcohol to be served in. the tent. If the entry is only from <br />Diamond's building, your current food and alcohol license will apply. A fire <br />inspection of the tent is required. You must call Jerry Streich at 763-427-4452 to <br />schedule this inspection. He will also determine your occupancy load. <br /> <br />· Insurance: You must provide the City with verification from your insurance <br />carrier that your insurance covers a special event such as you're planning. <br /> <br />· Helicopter Rides: In 2004, the City of Ramsey adopted an ordinance establishing <br />criteria for Personal Use Heliports. City Code states that you must have a <br />Conditional Use Permit for helicopter take-offs or landings. Please contact Sylvia <br />Frolik at 763-433-9846 to discuss this process. <br /> <br />· Security. I realize that Diamond's has it's own security personnel, however, <br />special events require licensed Police personnel to be present. Chief Way will <br />discuss with you, the number required. I believe the number we have talked about <br />is three officers for May 18 and four officers on May 19. <br /> <br />-98- <br />
