C, -10 RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER By: Tim Gladhill, Management Intern Backf!round: At the regular meeting of May 24th, 2005, Council established levels of authority for use during the construction of the new Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: City Council: Approval ofproject change orders greater than $25,000 Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by ratification at regular Council meetings Facilities Committee: Approval ofproject change orders in excess of $10,000 and less than $25,000, ratified by City Council ProiectTeam: Approval ofproject change orders of up to $10,000 by Heidi A. Nelson, Interim City Administrator, ratified by City Council This case represents the ratification of change orders that have been approved by the Project Team and Facilities Committee. Staff Recommendation: Ratify the following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center. Change Order No. 1161-11 ($14,749.91) Move floor outlets to align w/table, provide power to projector screen, backcharge due to removal of curb-stakes, installation of power at furniture systems panel, revise two floor boxes, backcharge for broken glass, provide power for water coolers, hall lighting control revisions. Change Order No. 1031-08 $2,000.00 Backcharge for additional floor prep due to water damage. Change Order No. 1161-12 ($20,421.00), Revisions to police lobby door, relocate soffits, provide power to copier, extend conduit future clock tower, backcharge-crack suppression, power/controls to shades, floor pokes, power-projection screen, electrical items-fire alarm and temp control, power- transfer pump, power-garbage disposal; power-sally port, elevator smoke detectors, add light to soffit for elevator, lighting control, revision to step light, add circuits. Change Order No. 1071-08 ($925.00) Roof damages per proposal dated November 21,2006. Change Order No. 1091-08 ($4,750.00) Extend soffit framing and drywall, framing changes. Change Order No. 1091-09 ($792.00) Provide additional framing, install chases, provide soffit to enclose ductwork. Change Order No. 1091-07 $832.37 Backcharge for repair damage to roof membrane flashing at mechanical penthouse. TOTAL CHANGE ORDERS 12/22/06-03/07/07: $38,805.54 Funding Source: Funding for the Change Order will come from the new Ramsey Municipal Center project budget. Council Action: Consider authorizing Resolution No. 08~02-xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of new Ramsey Municipal Center.
