5. 9. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />09/08/2026 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Address infrastructure needs. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #26-201 Awarding Construction Staking Contract for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, <br />Improvement Project #26-02 <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #26-201 awarding a construction staking contract for 2026 MSA <br />Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02 to Hakanson Anderson Associates for the not -to -exceed <br />amount of $8,300.00 <br />Background: <br />On August 25, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-195, awarding a construction contract to North <br />Valley, Inc. for 2026 MSA Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02. <br />Construction staking is essential to the construction of said improvements, and city staff does not have the <br />capacity to perform construction staking in-house. <br />Hakanson Anderson Associates submitted a proposal for construction staking of the proposed improvements for <br />a total amount of $8,300.00. <br />City staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part <br />of staff's normal duties. <br />Notification: <br />Notifications are not required as part of this case. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #26-201 awarding a construction staking contract for 2026 MSA Overlay <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #26-02 to Hakanson Anderson Associates for the not -to -exceed amount of <br />$8,300.00 <br />Funding Source: <br />On August 25, 2026, City Council adopted Resolution #26-195 awarding a construction contract to North Valley, <br />Inc. for said overlay improvements in the total bid amount of $1,129,093.12. Adding indirect costs in the amount <br />of 14-percent, the total project costs are estimated to be $1,287,166.16. Hakanson Anderson Associates has <br />provided a construction staking proposal for a not -to -exceed amount of $8,300.00. Construction staking is <br />included in the 14-percent indirect project costs. These costs are proposed to be funded using a combination of <br />Municipal State Aid and Storm Water Utility Funds. <br />Recommendation: <br />
