TRUST AND AGENCY FUNDS:
1) Landfill Trust Fund - Please refer to page 101 - It should be noted that
these funds will only be used when the landfill is closed and it is developed
into a recreation area.
2) Park Improvement - Please refer to page 102 through 104 - This money is
derived when land is subdivided. The developer may dedicate land to the
City or funds. All money dedicated goes into this fund and it is only
used for capital improvement projects or land acquisition for parks.
3) Bond Administrative Trust Fund - Please refer to page 105 through 107 -
These funds are acquired in Bond Issue where special assessments are involved.
A certain percentage is charged to each of these type of Bond issues to cover
the administering of said bond issues. Each year the City will transfer a
certain percentage from this fund to the General Fund.
4) Equipment Revolving Fund - Please refer to page 108 - This is a funded
depreciation fund on City equipment. It is designed to keep peaks and valleys
out of the City budget in the replacement of equipment. It should be noted
that this fund is only used to replace equipment. It is not meant to fund
addition to the City equipment.
CONCLUSION
The 1981 Budget reflects the total operating estimated operating cost of the
City. Citizens who desire to review the budget in depth should check out
a copy of this document. If you have questions on it, you should discuss
these with the City Administrator or City Accountant or members of the City
Council.
Sincerely,
CITY OF RAMSEY
Thomas G. Gamec
Mayor
TGG:sb
